Lonoke’s Jackrabbits knocked off LISA Academy last week, 70-54, to get to 10-11 overall heading into Wednesday’s game at Baptist Prep, the defending Class 4A state champion.

Lonoke was steady, building leads of 12-9 after one quarter, 30-22 at halftime and 52-40 after three.

Tyriqe Jackson led the Jackrabbits with 22 points. Tony Bryant added 11. Nine players scored.

Baptist Prep’s Eagles opened the week 17-4, including a 63-41 at Lonoke in the first meeting. The game was postponed because of last week’s wintry weather.

The Jackrabbits will travel to Central Arkansas Christian on Friday. The Mustangs (7-12) took a three-game winning streak into Tuesday’s game at Episcopal Collegiate. They are coached by LHS alumnus Bradley Spencer, who led his team to a 56-53 win at the Gina Cox Center in December.

Lonoke will play host to Episcopal Collegiate on Tuesday, Jan. 30. The Wildcats were 6-14 at press time, including a 74-66 win over the Jackrabbits in the first meeting.
