Four Cabot High School seniors signed letters of will continue their sports careers by signing letters of intent to play for colleges and universities.
Josh Imhoff, Ayden Shurley, Ashlyn Spears and John Wiens, accompanied by their parents, signed the letters in a ceremony held last Wednesday at the high school’s Media Center.
Imhoff, son of Corey and Melissa Imhoff, signed to bowl for the Oklahoma Christian University. He is a veteran bowler with the Panthers, having played for three state championships. He plans to study Mechanical Engineering
Shurley, accompanied by parents James and Aleisha Shurley, signed to play football at Henderson State University. In front of family and friends, he signed his letter of intent, along with his parents. Shurley, will play on offense and plans to major in pre-med and either chemistry or biology.
Spears, accompanied by parents Mark and Tonya Spears, signed to play softball, as a utility player, at Central Baptist College. Ashlyn is a four-year veteran of the Cabot Softball Team. She plans to major in Kinesiology in preparation for a career in coaching.
Wiens, accompanied by parents John C. and Jenny Wiens, signed to play football at University of Arkansas-Monticello. Weins was named to 2017 7A All-State and 1st Team 7A Central All-Conference. He is expected to play as tight end for the Boll Weevils.
