The Cabot Lady Panthers improved to 18-6 on the season with wins against Conway and Greene County Tech.

The Lady Panthers are in second place in the 7A-Central with an 8-2 conference record. Bryant is alone in first at 10-0.

Cabot beat Conway 5-4 last week.

Conway scored one in the first. The Lady Panthers then scored four in the bottom of the third to lead 4-1. They pushed the lead to 5-1 with another tally in the fourth.

Conway made the game close, scoring once in the sixth and two times in the seventh.

Conway had the tying run at first base when the game ended.

Grace Neal hit a three-run homer in the third inning. Also scoring in the frame were Riley Walthall, Rylie Hamilton and Aubrey Lee.

Skylar Reed scored Cabot’s fifth run in the fourth inning.

Cabot beat Greene County Tech 13-1 on Monday.

Cabot scored five in the first, six in the second and two in the third.

Scoring in the first inning were Walthall, Leah Gerald, Hamilton, Lee and Ashlyn Spears.

Scoring in the second were Gerald, Lee, Neal, Spears, Layne Smith and Kaitlyn Campbell.

Spears and Smith each hit solo homers in the fourth.

Smith had three RBIs in the victory.
