Carlisle’s Kylie Warren, one of the key cogs leading the Lady Bison to back-to-back state quarterfinal finishes, was recently named to the Arkansas High School Coaches Association’s All-Star Basketball squad.
Warren, only the second Lady Bison to be named all-state four years, will play for the East. She is the first Carlisle all-star since Monie Cohen in 2009. Cohen followed Julie Inman in 2008 and Jennifer Simpson in ‘07.
All-Star Week is set for June 18-23 at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
Warren is also a two-time member of the Arkansas Basketball Coaches Association’s Class 2A Top5 team.
Warren will sign to play basketball for Southern Arkansas University at 8:45 a.m. Monday in Bison Arena.
“It has always been a goal of mine to play in the all-star game, and I am grateful to the coaches who selected me to play,” Warren said. “I’m very excited about going to SAU. It truly felt like home. Getting my school paid for was also a goal of mine. I’m thankful to all my coaches, family and friends who have supported me to get to this point in my life. I’m looking forward to the all-star game and my new home at SAU.”
Carlisle finished the season 29-5.
