Lonoke’s soccer Jackrabbits won their sixth game Monday, setting a record for season wins for the young program.

Doug Bost’s team beat Conway Christian, 3-1, to improve to 6-5-2 overall and 5-4 in 4A-3 play. The Jackrabbits got goals from junior Francisco Ramirez, sophomore Chris Tovar and junior Nick Tate.

The Jackrabbits finished 5-10 in their inaugural season last year.

Lonoke, which played Jacksonville Lighthouse on Wednesday, will finish the regular season Thursday at Southside Batesville. The Southerners opened the week 7-5-1.

“We’re shooting for 3-0 this week,” Bost said Monday.

Last week, Lonoke lost to Jonesboro Westside in a shootout

The top four teams from the 4A-3 will advance to the Class 4A State Tournament.
