The Cabot Piranhas swim team opened the 2018 Central Arkansas Swim League season by hosting a meet at the Cabot Veterans Community Center on Saturday.


Cabot finished second in the meet with 375 points. The Sherwood Sharks won the meet with 853 points. The Lonoke SharkRockets were third with 60 points.


Cabot’s boys scored 375 points while the girls scored 187 points.


Abby Merciful won the gold division of the girls 7-8 freestyle with a time of 16.15 seconds.


Caden Niece won the bronze division of the boys 9-10 freestyle with a time of 35.34 seconds.


Kyndall Howard won the platinum division of the girls 9-10 freestyle with a time of 33.41 seconds.


Bri Mahoney won the gold division of the girls 11-12 freestyle with a time of 30.34 seconds. Sarah Knowlton won the silver division with a time of 32.07 seconds. Anna Laymon won the bronze division with a time of 30.28 seconds.


Bryce Strassner won the gold division of the boys 13-14 freestyle with a time of 27.94 seconds. Blane Godbee won the silver division with a time of 31.48 seconds. Josh Chapa won the bronze division with a time of 24.67 seconds.


Jason Bongfeldt won the bronze division of the boys 15-18 freestyle with a time of 24.97 seconds.


Jessica Bongfeldt won the bronze division of the girls 15-18 freestyle with a time of 26.81 seconds.


Cayden Moore won the silver division of the boys 7-8 backstroke with a time of 26.43 seconds.


Abby Percifull won the gold division of the girls 7-8 backstroke with a time of 21.46 seconds.

Cameron Sanden won the bronze division of the boys 15-18 backstroke with a time of 27.71 seconds.


Jordan Godbee won the gold division of the girls 15-18 backstroke with a time of 34.81 seconds.


Cabot won the girls 12-and-under freestyle relay with a time of 59.47 seconds. Swimming were Anna Layman, Sarah Knowlton, Angelina Whitney and Bri Mahoney.

Emma Grant won the mixed 6-and-under kickboard race with a time of 36.84 seconds.


Asher Weeks won the bronze division of the boys 7-8 breaststroke with a time of 28.18 seconds.


Caden Niece won the bronze division of the boys 9-10 breaststroke with a time of 51.09 seconds.
