The Cabot Centennial Bank Senior American Legion baseball team had a successful weekend, going 3-1 in their last four games to improve to 7-4 on the season.

Cabot beat Louisiana Empire 1-0 on Friday.

Cabot scored the game’s lone run in the first inning. Kyler Franks walked and scored on single by Dillon Thomas.

Cabot had only two hits in the game. Jackson Olivi and Thomas each had a hit.

Zach Morris and Blayse Quarnstrom combined for a one-hitter. Morris struck out 14 in 5 1/3 in-nings to get the win.

Cabot then beat Big League White 14-3 in the first game Saturday.

Cabot scored twice in the first, three times in the second, and nine times in the fourth to get the win.

Franks, Olivi, Tanner Wilson, Brian Tillery and Blake Buffalo each scored two runs. Also scoring were Thomas, Mason Griffin, Quarnstrom and Will Camplain.

Cabot then beat Max Impact 11-3 in the second game Saturday.

Cabot led 1-0 after one inning. Max Impact tied it at 1-1 in the bottom of the second. Cabot broke the game open with five runs in both the fourth and fifth innings.

Olivi led Cabot with three runs scored. Thomas and Tillery both scored twice. Also scoring were Rail Gilliam, Wilson, Logan Bell and Griffin.

Bell got the win, pitching 4 2/3 innings. he gave up three runs on three hits while striking out five.

Cabot’s luck ran out against Rise Up in an 11-2 loss Sunday.

Cabot trailed 10-0 after the third inning. Cabot plated single runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Scoring for Cabot were Olivi and Tillery.

Cabot had only one hit in the loss. Tilley got a double.
