Carlisle officials are moving toward completing their football staff before introducing the new hires Monday.
Athletic director and high school principal B.J. Greene said last week he hoped to have the personnel decisions made before the end of the Arkansas Activities Association’s mandated two-week dead period this week. The staff will be introduced to the public Monday, July 9 at 7 p.m. in the Civic Center.
Caleb Shock has been hired as head coach. Steve Tew will be an assistant football and head baseball coach. Greene said he and Shock were interviewing candidates for defensive coordinator and offensive line coach.
“It could come down to a defensive coordinator and whoever fits best otherwise,” Greene said Sunday.
They had one more interview scheduled for Monday. Greene said he expected to make offers shortly afterward, but nothing was official by press time.
